Aruna Puthota, DO | Behavioralist | Associate Faculty
Dr. Aruna Puthota attended the State University of New York at New Paltz where she double-majored in cell/molecular biology and psychology. She later attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine which added to her passion of providing patient-centered medicine. She moved to Cincinnati to pursue the combined residency in both Family Medicine and Psychiatry through The University of Cincinnati and The Christ Hospital. In her role developing the residency behavioral health curriculum, she truly enjoys providing applicable knowledge that can improve residents' confidence in providing "frontline" mental health care. In addition to teaching, Dr. Puthota works at The Christ Hospital as a family medicine physician and advanced heart failure/transplant psychiatrist.
In her free time, Dr. Puthota and her husband chase around their four boys and little dog. Together, they enjoy water-based adventures, gardening, reading and laughs over good food.
